Dr. Vanessa Ruiz Magaz is Professor in the Department of Odontology at Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UIC) in Barcelona, where she also completed her PhD and teaches in the Master's Degree Program in Periodontics, and is affiliated with the Instituto Maxilofacial's advanced dentistry unit.

Her specialization is periodontology, with particular focus on periodontal regeneration, peri-implantitis and laser-assisted treatment, integrating oral and maxillofacial surgical approaches into her periodontal practice.

She is a board-certified specialist in periodontology through the Spanish Society of Periodontology and Osseointegration (SEPA), has presented on peri-implantitis treatment at Harvard School of Dental Medicine, and has held a visiting professorship at the University of Padova. She lectures regularly at national and international scientific meetings.

At Dental Leaders Academy she brings research-grounded protocols in periodontal regeneration and peri-implant disease management.
