Prof. Myron Nevins (1938-2025) was an Associate Professor of Periodontology at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine and a periodontist in private practice in Swampscott, Massachusetts.

His work centered on periodontal surgery, implant therapy and tissue regeneration.

He served as President of the American Academy of Periodontology (1988-1989) and as Director and Chairman of the American Board of Periodontology, and edited the International Journal of Periodontics & Restorative Dentistry from 1981. He co-authored the textbooks Periodontal Therapy and Implant Therapy with James Mellonig, and received the AAP's Gold Medal Award in 1997 and its Master Clinician Award.

His teaching at Dental Leaders Academy reflected decades of leadership in periodontal and implant education.
