Dr. Paul Fletcher is a periodontist with Specialized Dentistry of New York and an Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Periodontics at Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine, following more than 30 years on the postgraduate periodontics faculty at New York University College of Dentistry and eight years as an Associate Clinical Professor at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine.
He received his DDS from the University of Maryland, completed a two-year residency at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Portland, Oregon, and earned specialty certificates in periodontics from the VA Medical Center in New York City and NYU.
He has co-authored more than 40 scientific papers and produced more than three dozen continuing-education videos for organizations including the Academy of General Dentistry, NYU, Colgate-Palmolive, and Hu-Friedy. His teaching focus is the management of peri-implant disease, and he speaks regularly in continuing-education programs such as Manhattan's International Certificate in Periodontology and Implantology.
