Dr. Richard Herman is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics and an Adjunct Clinical Professor of Post-Graduate Endodontics at Nova Southeastern University.

His specialization is endodontics, built on 40 years of private practice.

He earned his dental degree from New York University College of Dentistry and his certificate in Endodontics from Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center, later serving as Chief of Endodontics at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, New York for 35 years and as a GPR attending at Long Island Jewish Hospital for 38 years. He is a member of the College of Diplomates of the American Association of Endodontists, a Fellow of the American College of Dentists, and a member of the Real World Endo Board of Advisors.

He is a certified instructor in Precision Based Endodontics, and at Dental Leaders Academy he teaches this precision-based endodontic technique.
