Dr. Marisa Roncati and Dr. Stefano Parma Benfenati present surgical and non-surgical protocols for treating peri-implantitis, comparing resective, regenerative, and combined therapies.
This course presents treatment protocols for peri-implantitis, covering both non-surgical and surgical approaches. Non-surgical decontamination and maintenance protocols are discussed as a first line of management, along with the indications and limitations of this approach.
Surgical approaches are presented according to the morphology of the peri-implant bone defect, including resective techniques, regenerative techniques, and combined resective-regenerative therapies.
Bone regenerative techniques are examined in detail, with attention to clinical outcomes observed at re-entry, helping clinicians select and evaluate the surgical protocol appropriate to a given defect.
The course is presented by Dr. Marisa Roncati, assistant professor at the University of Bologna, and Dr. Stefano Parma Benfenati, a periodontist trained at Boston University.
