This online masterclass provides a structured introduction to surgical periodontology, guiding participants through the core techniques used to treat periodontal disease and to manage the soft and hard tissues surrounding teeth and implants. The program is delivered as a series of recorded modules that combine explanation of surgical principles with step by step technique demonstration, allowing clinicians to study the material at their own pace.

Topics covered include flap design and management, resective surgery for pocket reduction, regenerative procedures for the treatment of intrabony defects, and mucogingival and periodontal plastic surgery techniques. Emphasis is placed on case selection, the biological rationale behind each procedure, and the outcomes clinicians can reasonably expect when techniques are applied appropriately.

The course is led jointly by Dr. Giorgio Carusi, an Italian periodontist, and Dr. Stefano Parma Benfenati, a periodontist trained at Boston University.
